Nigel graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Harpsichord.

He is in demand and works in Australia and around the world as a soloist, repetiteur, arranger, musical director and teacher.

As a Harpsichordist Nigel has worked with some of Australia's finest Chamber Music ensembles including Mosaic, Baroqua, Capella and Musici (featuring selected members of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra).

Nigel relocated to the Czech Republic in 1998/1999 to further his studies at the Academy of Music in Prague. In recent times he has appeared as a soloist in the Sydney Bach-Fest and continues to play in recital around Australia.

Nigel is also highly sought after as a Musical Director, having worked on productions including Beaconsfield - The Musical (Melbourne Fringe), Sweet Charity, Brecht's Private Life of the Master Race and The Wild Blue with NIDA, The World Goes Round (Sydney Opera House), Tell Me On A Sunday (World Trade Centre Sydney) and Only Heaven Knows (Melbourne) with Michael Smallwood and Luke Gallagher.

In 1997 Nigel spent several months touring Australia as Musical Director with David Campbell on his Yesterday Is Now Concert Tour.

Since that time Nigel has worked with an array of artists in the Australian and New York cabaret scenes including Todd McKenney, Kane Alexander and Hayden Tee, with whom he created the long-running late-night Sydney cabaret success story, Muf-Tee.

He has worked in New York on numerous occasions and has had the pleasure of working with an array of musical theatre and cabaret artists including Stephen Schwartz (Wicked composer/lyricist), John Tartaglia (Avenue Q), Baby Jane Dexter (NY cabaret star), Julie Gold (Grammy Award winning songwriter) and John Bucchino (composer/lyricist).

Nigel has also played in a range of Festivals and Special Events around Australia including Sydney Cabaret Convention, Midsumma Festival (Melbourne), Mardi Gras Festival (Sydney), Feast Festival (Adelaide) and Bach-Fest (Sydney) amongst others.

He was pleased to appear in The Wharf Revue 2006 and recently worked on Barrie Kosky's The Women of Troy with the Sydney Theatre Company. In recent years Nigel has worked on cabaret projects around Australia with artists including Andrew Threlfall, Jo Weinberg and Tynan Parke.

Nigel has played in the orchestra of a number of major musicals in Sydney including most recently Billy Elliot, The Phantom of the Opera, Titanic and Disney's The Lion King.

Nigel works as a lecturer and musical director at NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art) in Sydney.
